MULTI-PERIL CROP INSURANCE (MPCI)

Multiple Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) is federally subsidized protection insuring against a wide range of causes, including drought, excessive moisture, freeze, disease and most importantly protection against loss of revenue due to price increase or decrease, loss of production or a combination of both.

Choose from several coverage and price levels to manage your level of risk.
Coverage levels range from 50 to 85 percent levels on select crops in certain areas.
Premium due dates are designed to coincide with your operation’s cash flow.
Premiums are subsidized.

CROP-HAIL INSURANCE

Crop-hail insurance is a type of insurance that may provide coverage for damage and destruction caused by hail, vandalism, fire, transit, also stored grain coverage and reimbursement of replanting costs.

Sold on an acre-by-acre basis, crop-hail insurance reimburses the farmer for the value of the products lost while in the field.
Farmers can purchase crop-hail insurance at any time during the growing season.
Crop-Hail can be used along with MPCI or other comprehensive coverages to offset the MPCI deductible and provide protection up to the actual cash value of the crop.
Coverage is provided on an acre-by-acre basis, so damage that occurs on only part of a farm may be eligible for payment when the rest of the unit remains unaffected.

RAIN INSURANCE

The Rain Insurance program insures against direct loss to events caused by rainfall.

It does not cover any loss to property or from any other peril even though the loss may have occurred in conjunction with the rainfall.
